Panchpokhari Trek
- Duration : 10 Days Trip
- Altitude : 4100 M
USD$1800USD$1700- starting price
The hike often begins at Chautara, Sindhupalchowk's district capital, which is about a five to six-hour drive from Kathmandu. From Chautara, a trail ascends through picturesque woodlands, terraced farms, and old-world towns, giving you a chance to observe the rich cultural history and way of life of the locals.
Reaching the five sacred lakes, which have religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists, is the Panchpokhari Trek's main attraction. Every year in August, during the Hindu holiday of Janai Purnima, a religious event is held at the lakes, which are thought to be the residence of Lord Shiva. The Himalayan range's expansive views, which include Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Lirung, Jugal Himal, and Ganesh Himal, add to the area's natural splendor.
