The Ruby Valley Trek offers breathtaking views of the Ganesh Himal range, with peaks like Ganesh Himal I, II, III, and Paldor Peak dominating the skyline. The trek typically takes around 14 to 16 days to complete, depending on the itinerary and your fitness level. The trek usually begins from Syabrubesi, which is accessible by road from Kathmandu. The trek takes you through several traditional Tamang and Gurung villages, providing opportunities to interact with the locals and experience their unique culture, lifestyle, and warm hospitality.Unlike some of the more popular trekking routes in Nepal, the Ruby Valley Trek offers a less crowded and more secluded experience. You can enjoy the tranquility of the pristine wilderness and explore untouched landscapes. The Ruby Valley Trek is considered a moderate trek, suitable for both experienced trekkers and beginners with a good level of fitness. However, it's always advisable to be physically prepared and consult with a local trekking agency for the most up-to-date information on the trail conditions and difficulty.

Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu
When you arrive at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our organization will greet you and wish you a warm welcome to Nepal before driving you to the hotel you've reserved. After the check-in process is complete, you can unwind and sleep at the hotel. In order to familiarize you with some good restaurants, ATMs, money changers, and other vital places you might need during your stay in Thamel, the office staff will later accompany you on a brief tour of the neighborhood.
Day 2
Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,503m / 4,945ft)
You will drive to Syabrubesi to begin your adventure through the Ruby Valley. We must register our trek permits in Langtang National Park, which we will drive into. Undoubtedly a lovely trip, the 7–8 hour picturesque journey follows the Trisuli Bazaar, Ramche Gaon, and Dhunche. Although the drive is a little winding and bumpy, the captivating scenery will take your breath away. Our overnight stay is in Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi provides all you might need for the walk because it is both the halfway point of various hikes and the Chinese border. At Syabrubesi, we take a break, unwind, and get ready for the walk the following day.
Day 3
Trek from Syabrubesi (1,503m / 4,945ft) via Chawatar (lunch) to Gatlang (2,337m / 7,690ft)
We're going to a small Tamang village named Gatlang today. After ascending a steep, winding path to Bahun Dada Pass, we descend to Gatlang. We have lunch at Chawatar. Since the majority of the vegetables are locally grown and freshly harvested, the food is wonderfully excellent here. We see the depth of their culture and tradition as we move through this magnificent Tamang village. We lodge with the Tamang people at Gatlang. Without a doubt, their hospitality and food will rank among your best ever experiences.
Day 4
Trek from Gatlang (2,337m / 7,690ft) to Parvati Kund, Yuri Kharka (lunch) to Somdang (3,271m / 10,760ft)
We start our walk from Gatlang to the freshwater mountain lake Parvati Kunda. This stunning lake, which bears the name of the well-known Hindu goddess Parvati, the spouse of Lord Shiva, is revered by the locals.
The habitat and lodges get smaller as you go further on your walk. However, there may not be many tourists around. To get to Yuri Kharka, we continue on the trek through a lovely pine and rhododendron forest. After a fantastic supper at Yuri Kharka, we hike via Khurphu Bhanjyang in the direction of the Somdang. Several hours of walking separate Somdang from a closed mine. Even though the mine hasn't been operational for a while, you may still wander inside and soak in its breathtaking splendor. This mine previously produced crystals (including rubies), zinc, copper, tin, and other metals. Our overnight stay will be at Somdang Valley. You will actually experience stillness in the valley because it is so quiet and isolated.
Day 5
Trek from Somdang (3,271m / 10,760ft) via Pangsang Pass (3,842m / 12,604ft) to Tipling (2,078m / 6,835ft)
At Somdang, we had a sumptuous breakfast after waking up. You will be trekking via the challenging but thrilling Pangsang La Pass on this day. We travel southwest from Somdang Village to Pangsang Kharka while admiring the breathtaking landscapes and mountains. In Pangsang Pass, there is a sizable meadow called Pasang Kharka.
Day 6
Trek from Tipling (2,078m / 6,835ft) to Chalish Gaon (1,800m / 5,960ft)
Our walk to the sister villages of Shertung and Chalish Gaon will be brief and leisurely today. We first make our way down through the tranquil jungle, across a river, and arrive at Chalish Gaon, which is located in a beautiful area. Shertung village is located about 100 meters above Chailsh Gaon, and there is much to discover in both of these towns. But you can also just choose to unwind and take in the breathtaking fields and verdant valley below. Gurungs, Tamangs, and Dalits make up the majority of the population of Shertung and Chalish Gaon.
Day 7
Trek From Chalish (1,800m / 5,960ft) to Borang (1,700m / 2,296ft), drive to Dhading Besi (580m /1,902ft)
You will take in all the wonders of this trek on your last day before heading back to Kathmandu. After a delicious breakfast, we will hike a little further to the settlement of Borang before descending to Lishne Khola. We take a local jeep from Borang to Dhading Besi, passing by the villages of Ankhu Khola and Kimdang Phedi along the way. You'll encounter a number of tranquil communities on the way back, which will fill you with nostalgia. The night will be spent with us at Dhading Besi.
Day 8
Drive from Dhading Besi – Kathmandu (1,310m / 4,323ft)
From Dhading Besi, we board another bus for the trip back to Kathmandu and your guesthouse. If you'd like, we may plan a trip of Kathmandu's city that visits a number of World Heritage Sites. Before calling your trip a wrap, you must see the local culture in and around Kathmandu City, which is every bit as stunning as the mountains that surround it.
