Surrounded by snowy peaks, the lake is a beautiful turquoise color and is considered sacred by Hindus and Buddhists. It offers a serene and picturesque setting for trekkers. The Tilicho Pass Trek is considered a strenuous trek due to its high altitude and demanding terrain. You'll encounter steep ascents, rocky trails, and challenging weather conditions. It is recommended for experienced trekkers who are physically fit and have prior trekking experience. Throughout the trek, you'll be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. You'll have the opportunity to witness iconic peaks like Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and Nilgiri. The trek also offers insights into the local culture and lifestyle of the people living in the Annapurna region. You'll pass through traditional villages inhabited by Gurung and Thakali communities, where you can experience their warm hospitality, taste local cuisine, and learn about their traditions and customs. The Tilicho Pass Trek can be combined with the famous Annapurna Circuit Trek, extending the overall trekking duration. The Annapurna Circuit is a classic trek that takes you through diverse landscapes, including lush forests, arid valleys, and high mountain passes.

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu

When you arrive at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from our organization will greet you and wish you a warm welcome to Nepal before driving you to the hotel you've reserved. After the check-in process is complete, you can unwind and sleep at the hotel. In order to familiarize you with some good restaurants, ATMs, money changers, and other vital places you might need during your stay in Thamel, the office staff will later accompany you on a brief tour of the neighborhood.

Day 2

Drive to Besisahar (5/6 hrs)

Bus service from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar begins at 7 AM. Tribhuwan Highway requires 5–6 hours to travel through small roads, suspension bridges, and a steep river canyon to get to Dumre, and 2 hours to go to Besisahar.

Day 3

Drive to Dharapani (1,943m) by Jeep 3–5 hrs

We pass the Dharapani, Bulbule, Nygdi, Jagat, and Tal rivers. The travel takes three to five hours, and because the road is narrow, it is a slow one.

Day 4

Trek to Chame (2,713m/5 hrs)

Breakfast is served at 6:30 AM, and the trip begins at 7. The distance is reached in 6 hours. The trail now travels west in Manaslu, creating a beautiful backdrop of Annapurna II, which can be seen intermittently to the south. The Annapurna range provides a beautiful vista as we go forward.

Day 5

Trek to Pisang (3,115m/4hrs)

Breakfast is served at 7 AM, and at 8 AM we begin our hike. We stay by the river's edge for nearly five hours while crossing through a tight, steep ravine to get to Manang Valley, a large U-shaped valley tucked between two enormous snow-capped hills. After lunch, we continue walking to Pisang and will bring you to upper Pisang, where you will enjoy the best view of the Annapurna ranges, between 1.30 and 2 hours later.

Day 6

Trek to Manang (3,450m/4hrs)

After a five-hour trek through trails, a wide forested valley bottom, a community of approximately 200 homes, and the largest monastery in the entire district—Barge—we arrive in Manang. Breakfast is served at seven in the morning, and we begin our trek at eight. After exploring Barge Monastery, travel for an hour to Manang. A hundred rupee monks, a monastery, a glacier vista, a snow lake, and other attractions may all be explored in the lovely terrain of Manang. OR if you'd prefer to use the higher section, which is more attractive and currently more intriguing because the bottom section of the journey is disturbed by the road.

Day 7

Acclimatization at Manang

We present you either the Gangapurna Glacier region, the Hillside of the 100 Monks, or the Ice Lake on this day. Although Ice Lake is quite distant, it offers a reachable mountain view and an intriguing snow lake. It takes 4 hours to get there and 3 hours to get back to the hotel. Being high pass, it is also a superior approach to conserve your energy. You can also do your laundry and other things.  You can consult your guide, plan a day trip on your own, and take some time to recuperate.

Day 8

Trek from Manang to Khansar village (3,734m)

We set off at around 7:30 in the morning and trek to Khanshar, the last town before Tilicho. Since there are no lodging options or dining establishments between Manang and Khansar, lunch will be served there today. After that, you can visit the monastery and the hamlet and learn about its customs and culture.

Day 9

Trek to Tilicho Lake Basecamp (4,150m)

Today at 7 AM, we begin our five-hour hike to Tilicho Lake Base Camp. After passing the one tiny location where it is possible to get hot tea or coffee, we will continue our ascent to Base Camp. The path is narrow, and some spots have landslide as well. After lunch, have a peek at the lake.

Day 10

Trek from Tilicho Phedi to High Camp (5,240m)

Following a visit to Tilicho Lake, the trek goes on to the high camp, a 4–5 hour hike. Since there are no hotels, we must go camping again today. We will eat lunch in the same location that we spend the night tent camping, where our crew will prepare the hot meals.

Day 11

Trek to Tilicho Pass continues to Yak Kharkha (4,510m/10hrs)

Early in the morning, begin your walk and climb the Eastern Pass (5340 m), then continue to the Northern Campsite. From there, it will take you 4–8 hours to climb the Mesakanta La Pass (5467 m), after which you will carry on to Yak Khark for another 4–5 hours. It takes a long time because the route is uphill and downhill and requires crossing numerous mountain terraces. Views of the Tibetan mountain, Annapurna, Nilgiri Dhaulagiri, and other peaks can be seen while camping near MesaKanta La pass.

Day 12

Trek from Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,720m)

Six to seven hours of hiking are required to descend to Jomsom (2720 m). The trails descend along the Thini Khola and pass through the stunning mountain settlement of Thini.
